CPU is running slow lately and i’m in the mood to use my recovery disk to remove years of grime. the only problem is i have no idea what files to back up. i know the basics: my documents, picutres, and my music. although, i’m not sure how to do it. buy a cheap 50gb external hard-drive? help!

Documents, pictures, music, videos. Can try a USB flash drive if not too much data. Most problems can be solved without restoring. Try posting your question on one of the forums designed for this.

It depends on the size of your personal files. And those are mostly just what you need to backup because software you can install again (although settings and such will need to be reset.)
I would suggest a flashdrive for your files if it’s just a few gigs.

I think you should use online backup software…I can suggest Memopal, …it’s easy, save your files in real time and automatically…I use Memopal and it’s a very useful tool.
